I make jewellery in Margate, working with recycled precious metals and stones chosen for their colour, shape and character.

I love metal. The weight of it. The marks left by making. Rough next precise. Strong forms, irregular surfaces. Things that perhaps shouldn’t go together, but do.

 

Some pieces are one-offs. Others are designs I return to and remake in different stones and metals. I make commissions too. Wedding rings. Divorce rings. Old jewellery reworked into something new. Pieces to mark a new chapter, or for absolutely no occasion other than wanting one.

The good jewels don’t belong in a box. Wear them out. Dance in them. Put them on again tomorrow. Let them pick up marks and memories. Let them become yours.
